Bike stand

Since I'm planning on doing most of the service myself I need to get a stand, which is probably the first reason I joined this forum, because I'm interested in the harbor freight motorcycle stand? Anyone have any experience with these? I know the Roadmaster doesn't' weigh as much as an elephant, but is harbor freight, so I'm a bit hesitant.

I've used the Harbor Freight stand on my Scout and it held up fine, but I wouldn't trust it without checking welds and bolts first. If you're lifting a Roadmaster, maybe add some tie-downs for peace of mind.

Harbor Freight can be a gamble, but their motorcycle stands actually hold up pretty well for bikes like the Roadmaster. Its not crazy heavy, so as long as you stay within the weight limit and use straps for safety, you should be fine. . Lots of people use them for basic service without issues.

Good for the price but definitely not as good as a Roadmaster or other mid range brands, I'd spend the extra on something sturdier, but for a budget friendly stand to get started, it's not terrible

Good to know! I've got a 2023 Indian Scout, and I've been eyeing Harbor Freight's stand for oil changes and chain cleaning. Glad to hear it works for heavier bikes too. Did you add any padding or mods to the stand, or just use it as-is with straps?
