Anyone using Harbor freight wheel chock on a scout?

I'm considering the Harbor Freight motorcycle wheel chock for my Scout. It's rated for 1,800 lbs and gets great feedback and it seems lots of Harley riders use it. It kinda looks perfect for holding the bike upright during oil or coolant checks, but it says it fits tires up to 5 inches, and my front's about 5¼. Will it fit?

That's going to be a very tight fit and you may need to give the bike a good push. A lot of people use that chock and I've seen it work with tires a little wider than advertised. Just go slow and watch that the tire sidewalls don't get pinched when you roll it in.

I think relying on Harbor Freight wheel chocks for a heavy bike like the Scout is tempting but borderline risky. They're budget-friendly, sure, but pushing the limits on tire size or weight can lead to instability, sometimes, you really do get what you pay for.

I'm worried that the chock might not securely hold your Scout's front tire if it's wider than the 5-inch limit, which could lead to stability issues during maintenance
